East Rand Containers is based in Brenthurst, Brakpan, on the East Rand. We convert shipping containers, build park homes and prefab buildings, manufacture our own insulated panels and sell and rent containers to clients across Johannesburg, Pretoria and the rest of South Africa. Every unit is squared, sealed and signed off in our factory before it goes out on the truck.

Questions we are often asked
Where are you based?
Our factory and offices are at 30a Muriel Brand Street, Brenthurst, Brakpan, on the East Rand of Gauteng. You are welcome to visit by appointment.
Do you deliver outside Gauteng?
Yes. We deliver across South Africa. Share your site location and we will include transport in your quote.
What is the difference between a park home and a prefab building?
A park home is built on a steel chassis in our factory and delivered complete, so it can be moved later. A prefab building is erected on a concrete foundation on your site, which suits larger, semi-permanent buildings.
Which container grade is best for a conversion?
For most conversions we recommend a grade C container: it is wind and watertight and cargo-worthy, at a lower price. Grade B and new containers are available when appearance matters more.
How do I know you are a legitimate supplier?
We are a verified member of Container Fraud Prevention, and you can confirm our membership on containerfraud.co.za. You are also welcome to visit our factory before you buy.
How long does a project take?
It depends on the product and specification. Standard office conversions typically take 3 to 4 weeks and panels 7 to 10 days. We confirm lead times in every quote.
